Year 3 of Uni:

"But the thing about slowing down is that it will test your levels of patience, trust and inner resolve. It requires having a certain willingness to accept these uncomfortable cycles of hibernation; of going inwards for a bit to remember who you are. It also requires recognizing that faster isn’t always better, more isn’t always best and that progress doesn’t only happen in movement.

Sometimes the most impactful progress we make happens in stillness (moments when you may feel like your life is going nowhere). Sometimes it happens in the emptiness of it all. The caterpillar knows this 🐛

Another lesson I’ve learned from being in this cocoon is that life doesn’t have to be perfect for us to be patient, compassionate and loving with ourselves. As we move through the darkness of this process, we find a truer version of ourselves, as well as an immense depth of love, resilience and courage within.

It’s not easy to go through, but it’s worth it. It’s also a necessary part of our growth and evolution.

Positivity doesn’t have to mean smiling all the time and telling others to do the same. Positivity can also mean accepting the shitty moments in life with grace and honoring our transformations as often as necessary. Positivity can also be simply trusting that you will always have your own back, even when you have a horrible day and life is not picture perfect." -Jova F.

hot showers, long walks and good thoughts, meditating at pollock park or mid-day fraser building getaways, my coffee thermo, PITH zine creative exploration, you (my website), offshore, and once again, Routine. I like it here. Sometimes i don't. Sometimes the weather gets to me, sometimes I get tired of being in a constant state of missing my partner and the friends I can only reach via video calls, sometimes I miss my family and the Cypriot sun. Sometimes though I find myself smiling while walking, and that's good enough.

Things that make it feel like home: Tchai Ovna, Second hand bookshops that my pappou would undoubtedly love, Blue Arrow rip, Jamming sessions, GFT films, Max's cozy home (and smile), Ino's random shoushouko surprises and soul warmness, Geographic Thought lectures that make my brain feel curious about the world, my warm warm bed, Routine, Yoga, Anniina's face expressions and our secret room, cocinando, bailando en mi cuarto, Wednesday study sessions with S, Sierra, Ella's hugs, conversations with random people, exploring, growing, learning about things i didn't know were a concept, Allie's ease, following my grandma's meal routine, mbizeli and fakes,
